"Explorer Model" Fire Piston in our (P F.) premium figured grain pattern. It is constructed from Nicaraguan Cocobolo and is friction polished by hand to a lustrous yet durable sheen. It has the same internal construction that all of our pistons have, which includes a brass barrel that has been brazed shut and a solid brass piston rod. The rod features a cross drilled tinder gripper which provides a positive grip to almost any tinder. Also, incorporated into every fire piston design is our unique pressure relief o-ring seat. The inside of the barrel and the o-ring seat are hand polished to reduce friction and provide a positive seal. All our fire pistons include a free accessory kit which includes : Extra O-Rings, Lube, and Tinder Twine.
