This fire piston is extremely popular with our customers, so we decided to offer it with an internal safe.This is the perfect fire piston for the person who wants
to have all their fire starting items in one neat package! While the
tinder compartment won't hold as much as a separate tinder safe, it
will hold enough items for many fires. Made
from highly figured Cocobolo with hand carved acorn accents. It sports
a buffalo bone tinder pick and hand tied leather lanyard that has a
hand carved acorn lanyard bead. All friction polished by hand to a
lustrous and durable sheen. It has the same internal construction that
all of our pistons have, which includes a brass barrel that has been
brazed shut and a solid brass piston rod. The rod features a cross
drilled tinder gripper which provides a positive grip to almost any
tinder. Also, incorporated into every fire piston design is our unique
pressure relief o-ring seat. The inside of the barrel and the o-ring
