Woodland Model w/ Internal Safe

This is our "Woodland Model" Fire Piston with an internal tinder safe. This is the perfect fire piston for the person who wants to have all their fire starting items in one neat package! While the tinder compartment won't hold as much as a separate tinder safe, it will hold enough items for many fires. Constructed from highly Figured Cocobolo and is friction polished by hand to a durable sheen. It has the same internal construction that all of our pistons have, which includes a brass barrel that has been brazed shut and a solid brass piston rod. The rod features a cross drilled tinder gripper which provides a positive grip to almost any tinder. Also, incorporated into every fire piston design is our unique pressure relief o-ring seat. The inside of the barrel and the o-ring seat are hand polished to reduce friction and provide a positive seal.
